  • How do I pay for my tour?
    Once your booking is confirmed, a member of our team will send you a secure payment link via Stripe to complete your payment.
  • How do I book a Flavors of Mauritius food tour?
    Booking is easy! Simply visit our website, choose your preferred tour, and fill in the booking form. A member of our team will get in touch to confirm your reservation and finalise the details.
  • Can I book a private tour?
    Absolutely! We offer private and customised tours for individuals, families, or groups. Just let us know your preferences, and we’ll create a unique experience for you.
  • Do I need to book in advance?
    Yes, we highly recommend booking in advance as our tours have limited spots and can fill up quickly.
  • Are children allowed on the tour?
    Yes! Our tours are family-friendly. Children under 5 can join for free, while children aged 5 and 12yrs will be charged at a discounted rate.
  • What if I have dietary restrictions?
    We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions. However, please note that our tours are not suitable for guests with nut allergies, gluten free due to the nature of Mauritian cuisine and cross-contamination risks. Vegetarian options are available throughout the tour.
  • What can I expect from a Flavors of Mauritius food tour?
    Our tours take you on a guided journey through the rich flavors of Mauritius, stopping at hidden gems, street food vendors, and local eateries. You’ll sample authentic dishes and learn about the island’s vibrant food culture.
  • What’s included in the tour?
    Your tour includes: A knowledgeable local guide Multiple food tastings at carefully selected locations Insights into the history, culture, and traditions behind the food Transport throughout the day which will include stop offs at heritage sites, beautiful photo locations and a stop at the beach along the way. Bottled Water If you have booked the Evening Tour or Private Couples Tour, a two-course dinner will be included at one of our carefully selected restaurants. Details of the set menus are available on the respective tour pages. When completing the enquiry form, please specify your preferred restaurant for the booking.
  • How long do the tours last?
    Our tours are full-day experiences, typically lasting 6 to 7 hours. All timings will be included in your booking confirmation email. However, here is a breakdown of tour timings are as follows: Port Louis to Grand Baie (Full Day): Start Time: 9:45am, End Time: 5pm this is dependent on traffic Evening Tour (Afternoon in Evening): Start Time 1pm, End Time 8pm. Private Couple Tour (Full Day): Start Time: 10am, End Time 8pm
  • What’s included in the Evening Tour and Private Couples Tour?
    Our Evening Tour and Private Couples Tour includes a two-course sit-down meal at one of three specially selected restaurants in Grand Baie. These set menus can be found on the respective tour pages. Your meal will include either Starter & Main or Main & Dessert, along with soft drinks and water. If you wish to order alcoholic drinks or an additional starter or dessert, this will be at your own cost.
  • How do I get to the meeting point?
    We will provide detailed directions in your confirmation email. If you require transport assistance, let us know, and we can advise on the best options.
  • Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
    Due to the nature of the tours, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate wheelchair-accessible tours.
  • Where does the tour start and end?
    The tour starts at Caudan Waterfront, Port Louis. Directions will be provided in your confirmation email. Once the tour concludes, we offer drop-off at any stop along the coastal road from Grand Baie, passing through Mon Choisy and Trou Aux Biches, or back to Caudan Waterfront, where there are plenty of taxis available. If you need assistance booking a private taxi, we can put you in contact with our transportation partner in Mauritius.
  • What happens if it rains?
    Our tours run rain or shine! If the weather is extreme, we may reschedule or offer a refund. Please bring an umbrella or raincoat if needed.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    If you need to cancel your booking, please email us at least 72 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the tour will be charged 50% of the booking fee, Cancellations made less than 48hrs before the tour will not eligible for a refund.
  • Can I reschedule my tour?
    Yes, rescheduling is possible subject to availability. Please contact 72 hours prior to your scheduled tour to arrange a new date.
